There She Blows! Hurricanes of 2004

Greg Dee, Chief Meteorologist from ABC News Tampa, will recount captivating stories about the four major hurricanes of 2004 on Wednesday, May 13 at First Presbyterian Church. In addition, he will provide valuable tips on preparing for the next “big one.” The presentation, which begins at 5:30 PM, will be held in the church Fellowship Hall, with easy parking in the lot off North Shore Drive.

This is one of the Beach Drive Forums, monthly conversations for the community with intriguing speakers on thought-provoking topics, held on Wednesdays from 5:30-7:30 PM at First Presbyterian Church, located at 701 Beach Drive NE, St. Petersburg. Doors open at 5:30 PM, presentation is at 6 PM. Refreshments and Q&A are included. Open to the public.

Just over two years ago, V3 commissioned acclaimed composer Dr. Constantine Caravassilis to create Sehnsucht Symphony—a nearly forty-minute orchestral work inspired by Zach Elliott’s book, Now I See. Through God’s faithfulness and the generosity of V3 partners, the symphony was recorded with the Brno Philharmonic in November 2024.
Join us for a screening of “Stronger Spells” the documentary unveiling the story behind the music, followed by Sehnsucht Symphony performed by the Brno Philharmonic all on film in the theater. After the screening you will also have the opportunity to hear directly from V3 Executive Director Zach Elliott and “Stronger Spells” Director Chris Farrell.
