The Zest: Florida's Lobster Season and Robert Is Here Fruit Stand

WUSF's food podcast, The Zest, celebrates cuisine and community in the Sunshine State. Here's what's on the menu for this week's episode...

Florida’s lobster season is in full swing, and the state's wildlife commission has rules in place to ensure that it's not a free-for-all. Zest producer Dalia Colón chats with Tampa blogger Danielle Rose about the "do's and don'ts" of lobster fishing--and how to prepare your catch. Rose shares her recipes for Florida-style lobster rolls with avocado and key lime aioli and grilled Florida lobster salad with key lime vinaigrette.

Then, Zest correspondent Janet Keeler takes you to Homestead to visit the iconic Robert Is Here fruit stand. Owner Robert Moehling shares the story of his 60-year-old business and explains how the stand got its quirky name.
