Authorities say they have recovered the body of a kayaker who went missing in a Hernando County park.

The Tampa Bay Times reports that 44-year-old Stanis Corey Serrette was found dead Tuesday morning in the park, located north of the Tampa Bay area.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission says Serrette was kayaking in Jenkins Creek on Sunday afternoon when he went missing. The craft was found about 500 yards from the Jenkins Creek boat ramp, and the body was found about 100 years from the kayak.

The Hernando County Sheriff's Office says the death remains under investigation, but no foul play is suspected.
