People gathered to celebrate what they see as a possible shift in Iran's future.

The group gathered to speak out against the possibility of another war in the Middle East. Meantime, a rally of Iranian Americans in downtown Tampa celebrated the military strikes.

MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa is the home of U.S. Central Command, which directs military operations in the Middle East.

The Coral Springs family of Robert Levinson, who vanished in Iran 18 years ago and is presumed dead, is calling for any deal between the United States and Iran to include the return of his remains.

The Ukraine International Airlines Boeing 737-800 crashed shortly after takeoff on Wednesday. Iranian officials said the likely cause was mechanical problems.

Iran says the airstrikes were carried out by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard in retaliation for the U.S. assassination of Gen. Qassem Soleimani.

"This is a decision, frankly, that is 39 years overdue," Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said as he announced the U.S. is ending its Treaty of Amity with Iran.
