Despite a hiring freeze and no pay raises for a number of years, an online jobs website has named the University of South Florida's Tampa campus as the eighth best college in the nation to work for.
Forbes reports that the site, Glassdoor, polled employees at 50 of the country's largest universities to find out how satisfied they were with the schools they work for.
To be included in the evaluation, colleges and universities had to have at least 20 reviews submitted to Glassdoor by employees between Sept. 10, 2011, and Sept. 9, 2012. The respondents were asked to rate their employers on a five-point scale (1 = very dissatisfied, 5 = very satisfied).
USF received a 4.0 rating, just behind the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and ahead of the University of California at Berkeley.
Brigham Young University climbed from third place last year to first this year with an overall rating of 4.2 out of 5.
