Taken in the context of the three landmark civil rights cases that defined citizenship for African-Americans in this country, Plessy v. Ferguson, Dred Scott, and Brown v. Board of Education, this session will examine the impact these cases had on the African-American people who lived in Sarasota County during these turbulent times and its continuing impact today.
Miracles, Signs & Wonders is a three-day gathering for our faith-based community focused on teaching, encouragement, and life-changing experiences. The conference is open to individuals, families, leaders, and teens who are seeking inspiration, personal growth, and meaningful connection.

Dive into hands-on activities, explore our unique exhibits, discover a sensory-friendly planetarium experience, and enjoy the museum’s relaxed atmosphere with lowered lights and reduced noise levels. These thoughtful adjustments create a stress-free experience, encouraging creativity and discovery.
To give you the best experience, we open the museum before our regular hours, ensuring a quieter, less crowded environment. This setup allows you and your family to explore at your own pace and fully enjoy everything MOSI offers.

Greater Tampa Bay Walk to Defeat ALS.
The walk is to raise awareness of this terrible disease.
• New Diagnoses: Over 5,000 new cases annually in the U.S..
• People Living with ALS: Around 20,000 to 30,000 Americans at any time.
Who Gets ALS?
• Age: Most diagnoses occur between 40 and 70, with an average age of 55. • Gender: Men are diagnosed more often than women, though the gap narrows with age. • Genetics: About 90% of cases are sporadic (no family history); the remaining 10% are familial. • Military Veterans: Twice as likely to develop ALS, possibly due to environmental exposures.
• The walk is free, open to the public, outdoors & pet friendly. No tickets required.
The walk will be held this year on April 25, 2026 at the Safety Harbor Waterfront Park. ( 105 Veterans Memorial Ln, Safety Harbor, FL). Walk starts at 9:00 am and ends 12:00 pm.
**There is no cure for ALS at this time. After being diagnosed, some people last a few months, some several years, but is considered a terminal illness.
