The LiveLung Tampa chapter is a community for anyone impacted by lung cancer—survivors and care partners alike. We meet in person on the third Wednesday of each month at 11:00 a.m. ET at Holiday Inn Tampa North at 3751 E. Fowler Avenue, Tampa, FL 33612.

Join us this month as the group learns about "Live Strong: The Importance of Exercise in the Lung Cancer Journey" from expert speaker Nancy J. Belli, M.A., Senior Wellness Director, LIVESTRONG at the YMCA.

Now in its 16th year, Make-A-Wish® Southern Florida's Cooking for Wishes is a four-course, interactive dinner where guests at each table prepare their own meal under the direction of Executive Chef Jamil Piñeda and Phil Mancini of Michael’s on East. The evening features wine selected by Michael Klauber, a live auction, and perspective from a family on the life-changing nature of its wish experience.

Hosted by Michael’s on East co-owners Phil Mancini and Michael Klauber, with event chairs Terri Klauber, Renee Phinney, and Lauren McComb Dixon, Cooking for Wishes returns this year with the theme “Studio 54: A Night of Funk and Flavor,” raising critical funds to help grant life-changing wishes for local children with critical illnesses.

Make-A-Wish Southern Florida has granted more than 15,000 life-changing wishes since 1983 for children who have critical illnesses. It aims to grant a wish for every medically-eligible child in its territory and understands these experiences are more than nice, they’re necessary to the health and well-being of families at a critical time in their lives.

Wish kids most often ‘wish to be’ (something), ‘wish to meet’ (someone), ‘wish to go’ (somewhere), ‘wish to have’ (something), or ‘wish to give’ (something) and the nonprofit organization makes this happen for the child and his/her entire family at no cost or obligation.

The Southern Florida chapter’s territory includes 22 counties/four regions: the Suncoast (Sarasota, Manatee, and surrounding counties), Tampa Bay, southeast and southwest Florida. It also includes the U.S. Virgin Islands.

An evening of art, music, and inspiration awaits! Join the Florida Cancer Specialists Foundation for Celestial Soirée, an evening starring artist survivors who inspire us all with their creativity and courage. Featuring The Bay Kings Band, local artists, auctions, dinner, drinks, and dancing beneath the stars! All event proceeds provide non-medical financial assistance to cancer patients.

The Tampa Woman’s Club is celebrating
125 years of community service and impact in Tampa Bay! Enjoy an evening filled with festivities, games of chance, gaming tables, plated dinner, music, open bar and your chance to win a diamond!

Lakewood Ranch, FL – Mothers Helping Mothers (MHM) will host its 4th annual Power of Purple Gala on Saturday, March 7, 2026, from 5–10 p.m. at The Grove Ballroom, located at 10670 Boardwalk Loop, Lakewood Ranch, FL 34202. This signature evening brings together sponsors, volunteers, and community partners to celebrate and sustain the powerful work MHM is doing to support families in Sarasota and Manatee counties.

The Power of Purple Gala is designed to raise awareness, foster community connections, and amplify MHM’s efforts to provide essential items and resources—such as car seats, backpacks, clothing, and financial assistance—to underserved families. The event theme, “The Power of Purple,” reflects the profound impact of small, everyday acts of kindness and their ability to build healthier, more resilient communities.

“The Power of Purple Gala is more than a night out—it is a celebration of hope and community,” said Cheri DeVries, Executive Director of Mothers Helping Mothers. “Every sponsorship, every ticket, and every donation directly helps parents and caregivers in our community access the essentials they need to keep their children safe, supported, and thriving.”

Designed to feel like a real fashion pop-up, the space is filled with donated gowns, suits, accessories- all organized and styled for an empowering, dignified shopping experience. Teens are welcomed to browse freely, try on outfits, and take home everything they need for prom without any financial burden.

Get ready for an exciting celebration as the Annual Brazilian Festival returns to Tampa for its 16th edition. Tampa, nestled on Florida’s Gulf Coast, was named by “Time Magazine” as one of the “World’s Greatest Places”, and “The Best Place to Live” according to “Forbes”. Since its inception in 2012, the Annual Brazilian Festival has become the most traditional community event in the State of Florida, a beacon and symbol of Brazil’s rich musical heritage and cultural diversity, showcasing some of Brazil’s pioneering & renowned artists, promoting multicultural unity, to inspire environmental awareness.

The Downtown Tampa Lions Club has been serving our community since 1925 and the Al Desilet Memorial is our only fundraiser. Join us for a fun filled day of Golf at the Carrollwood Country Club on April 6th 2026 starting with a shot gun start at 8:00 AM. There will be prizes for longest drive, closest to the pin, best team score, putting contest and more! The cost is $150 per player, which includes 18 holes of golf with a cart, refreshments throughout the course and a banquet.
