University Park Country Club Announces 26th Annual Art in the ParkMarch 14–15, 2026 | Open to the Public
University Park, FL — University Park Country Club is proud to present the 26th annual Art in the Park, one of the longest-running fine art exhibits and sales in the Sarasota/Bradenton region. Open to the public on March 14–15, 2026, this celebrated event will showcase more than 60 professional and non-professional artists and over 150 works of art.
Visitors will enjoy an exceptional variety of mediums, including large and small-scale paintings, mixed media, photography, sculpture, prints, and note cards. Most pieces will be available for purchase. Last year’s milestone 25th anniversary event was a dazzling success and was praised for its impressive breadth of fine art, attracting almost 1,000 visitors in 2025.
This is a juried art show with cash prizes; this year's scheduled judges include Maria Lyle, Judy Lyons, and Janet Mishner. Attendees will also have the opportunity to vote for their favorite piece to determine the coveted People’s Choice Award.
This year’s exhibition will take place indoors in the Lakeside Room from 10 AM to 5 PM each day. Guests are invited to extend their visit with lunch, brunch, or a glass of wine while taking in scenic views of the University Park Country Club championship golf course. Free admission and parking. Experience Florida Folk Music! A family-friendly event for all ages, the Will McLean Folk Music Festival features 80 musical groups across 4 covered stages. Mexican sculptor Jacobo Alonso brings a dynamic new body of textile work to Central Florida in this site-specific exhibition. Situated Body reimagines the classical human form through contemporary materials, especially felt, transforming traditional sculpture into colorful, expressive abstraction. Inspired by both pre-Columbian traditions and the Art Center’s Mayan Revival architecture, Alonso’s work, created during his 2025 residency at A&H, challenges assumptions about form, identity, and material.
Join Mary Correa for an 8-week exploration of collage. Learn the basics of collage assembly and then explore how these basics apply to your art style. Richey Suncoast Theatre is proud to announce the return of the New Port Richey Film Festival on Sunday, March 15th, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. This community event is free and open to the public, honoring the city’s early history as a burgeoning film hub once slated to become the “Hollywood of the East.”
The festival will showcase a diverse selection of short films created by local filmmakers in both Youth (17 & under) and Adult (18+) categories. This afternoon of creativity on the big screen highlights emerging creators alongside experienced storytellers from across the community.

The festival is currently seeking original short film submissions. Local creators are invited to share their stories for a chance to win cash prizes and tickets to the Sunscreen Film Festival in St. Petersburg (April 30 – May 3).

The Tampa Museum of Art offers half-day art camps in the AM and PM. Full-day camps are available with the purchase of two camps. Campers can create, learn, and play in our newly constructed education center, in the galleries, and the Curtis Hixon playground. Camps have different themes based on the Museum’s permanent collection of antiquities, modern & contemporary art, and exhibitions on view in our galleries. Needs-based scholarships are available for a limited number of campers.
