Lee Health, the system that dominates Lee County in terms of hospitals and clinics, has abruptly announced that it is dropping United Healthcare as an in-network provider as of 2027.

There's a national shortage of specialists in obstetrics. A new program has been developed at Lee Health to help.

The Mater Dei Clinic at the school reported there had been no new testing over 72 hours. Additionally, the clinic reported that the last positive case reported had been on Feb. 2.

Philanthropist Tom Golisano donates $253 million to six hospitals to form a 10-hospital national alliance, of which Lee Health's Golisano Children's Hospital is a part.
