NCAA Division II

The Spartans defeated West Chester 8-4 to maintain their reign over Division II for the third straight year and 11th time overall. Pitcher-infielder Luke Fiker, out of Sickles High, was named Most Outstanding Player.

The Spartans rallied twice to edge Adelphi 12-11 on Tommy Ortega's game-winning goal. The trophy avenges last year's title-game loss to the Panthers, who had won back-to-back titles.

The Spartans are headed to their second straight Division II title game after a 13-7 victory over Anderson University in a national semifinal game at the Naimoli complex in Tampa.
