Our guest speaker Craig Pittman is a great storyteller who will discuss the state's history, people, politics, environment, animals, current events and weirdness. He’s a native Floridian, a bestselling author, a podcaster and an award-winning journalist. His books include "Oh, Florida! How America's Weirdest State Influences the Rest of the Country" and "Cat Tale: The Wild, Weird Battle to Save the Florida Panther." In 2020 he was named a Florida Literary Legend by the Florida Heritage Book Festival and in 2022 the national Sierra Club gave him the Rachel Carson Award. Tampa Bay’s number one family-friendly Halloween event, Creatures of the Night, returns eerier than ever this fall. Perfect for all ages, the frightful, fun-filled event features howling outdoor experiences, amusing shows, spooky characters, creepy culinary treats and much more on thirteen select nights through October 26! This year’s event features a new colossal adventure, Mesozoic Mayhem, a bone-chilling scare zone where ancient beasts roam once more and chaos ensues after scientists tamper with nature. Guests encounter life-size dinosaurs, creating an atmosphere filled with excitement and just the right amount of fright that proves that eerie fun never goes extinct.
Creatures of the Night takes place on 13 select nights in September and October from 4pm to 10pm.
Event nights are September 26 (members-only night), September 27, Oct. 3-4, Oct. 10-12, Oct. 17-19, and Oct. 24-26.

Organized in partnership with Preserve the ’Burg, this program explores how bungalows shaped St. Petersburg’s identity during the city’s early 20th-century boom. Architectural historian Emily Elwyn will highlight the distinctive details, expert builders, and welcoming neighborhoods that made these homes central to community life. From the tree-lined streets of Historic Kenwood to the intimacy of Lang’s Bungalow Court and the legacy of Roser Park, discover how the bungalow’s craftsmanship, affordability, and charm left a lasting mark on St. Pete’s character and sense of place. Included with MAACM museum admission.
The Clearwater Yacht Club is delighted to announce our 51st Annual Holiday Lighted Boat Parade, taking place on Saturday, December 13th at 6:30 PM. This cherished tradition brings together our community in celebration, featuring a spectacular procession of festively decorated boats that light up the waterfront with holiday spirit.
