Apr 12 Sunday
Join us as we open our new exhibition, Ali Banisadr: The Alchemist, with spray paint and a lesson on the history of graffiti. As a young artist in San Francisco, artist Ali Banisadr became involved with the local graffiti art community early into his creative career. We’re partnering with Overspray Art Space, some local friends who make up artists who are heavily involved in St. Pete’s mural scene.
They’ll show you how to create your own style, then you’ll design and paint a canvas piece to take home. You’ll get stencils and creative prompts to help spark your imagination. Whether you’re brand new to spray paint or a longtime art lover, this is your chance to get inspired and create something cool.

From Billy Joel to Alicia Keys, from Ray Charles to Freddie Mercury, Three Pianos celebrates the piano legends who refused to play by the rules. These aren’t your cookie-cutter rock stars: they’re the rebels, romantics, and risk-takers who turned 88 keys into pure magic. Enjoy timeless favorites like “Crocodile Rock,” “Just the Way You Are,” “Great Balls of Fire,” “I’m Still Standing,” and “Beautiful.” From the soulful sway of Fats Domino to the anthemic joy of Elton John, this high-energy musical revue proves that when you follow your own tune, the music never stops.
Southeastern Premiere. Ernestine Ashworth spends her 17th birthday agonizing over her insignificance in the universe. Soon enough, it’s her 18th birthday. Even sooner, her 41st. Her 70th. Her 101st. Five generations, an infinity of dreams, and one cake baked over a century.
Step into the spotlight with One Hit Wonders, a toe-tapping celebration of those unforgettable songs that lit up the charts and became part of our lives. Quirky, charming, and packed with guilty pleasures, One Hit Wonders proves that sometimes one hit is all you need.

Faces of Power: Stories Behind Portraits on Greek and Roman Coins
Ancient Greek and Roman coins preserve some of the most widespread portraits from antiquity, showing how rulers wanted to be seen by their people and how artistic styles changed over the centuries. As the main way ordinary people saw the faces of kings, emperors, and rulers, coins remain key evidence for understanding ancient propaganda, political symbols, and portrait styles. The relevance of this topic clear by the debate today about who should appear on modern currency, from Queen Elizabeth II to proposals for a coin showing a portrait of President Trump.

In recognition of National Second Chance Month, Ex-Cons Matter Foundation and community partners will host a special screening of the inspiring movie “Life of a King,” followed by a live in person discussion with Eugene Brown — the real-life mentor whose journey from incarceration to community leadership inspired the movie.
This event is designed to spark meaningful conversation around redemption, mentorship, decision-making, and the power of second chances. Through the movie and dialogue, we aim to engage youth groups, educators, and community leaders in a powerful experience that highlights resilience and personal transformation.

The crime is savage, the motive hateful, and public outrage immediate. Assigned to defend him is Danny Dunkelman (Michael Raver), a young Jewish lawyer and the son of a Holocaust survivor. For Danny, the appointment is more than professionally challenging. It is morally explosive. How does a man whose family history is scarred by genocide stand beside someone who glorifies it?
