No Kings

Thousands of people, dogs and "frogs" gathered in Cora P. Roberson Park off Southwest Sixth Street on Saturday for the third "No Kings" protest.

It was a show of protest, frustration, disaffection and concern and it was shared by thousands Saturday in various Southwest Florida sites, other parts of the state and across the United States and the world. The No Kings III event was billed as a protest rally and drew people of many different political affiliations who said they had concerns with how the current administration in Washington run by President Donald Trump was handling things.

A member of the political advocacy group Students for a Democratic Society was arrested Saturday afternoon during a No Kings protest at the Florida Capitol.

Thousands of people participated in the third national No Kings protests in more than 20 Central Florida events from Ocala to Orlando to Palm Bay.

More than a dozen "No Kings" protests took place around the region, part of more than 2,600 around the country in cities large and small.
