Fourth of July Events

Fireworks, hot dog-eating contests, picnics and community celebrations are all part of how the Tampa Bay area will enjoy Independence Day in 2026.

City commissioners voted to return the display back to its original location despite it being under repair. The move to Safety Harbor City Park raised concerns over neighboring bird nesting.

Here's a list of the fireworks shows and other events leading up to Independence Day.

The July Fourth event is returning to Julian B. Lane Riverfront Park with family-friendly activities, live entertainment and an evening fireworks display.

Popular events and fireworks shows are returning including Boom by the Bay, which will be held on July 4 instead of over the weekend as was the case in 2023.
